General conditions for using the Queixate platform
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the queixate.pt platform (hereinafter "Platform"), made available to facilitate communication between citizens and local authorities regarding municipal complaints. By accessing or using the Platform, the user declares that they have read, understood and accept these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree with any of the conditions, you should refrain from using the Platform.
The Platform allows users to: • Submit complaints related to problems in municipal public spaces. • Track the status and progress of submitted complaints. • View aggregate statistics about municipal complaints. • Support complaints submitted by other citizens. Use of the Platform is free and does not require account creation. To submit a complaint, a valid email address is required for confirmation.
The user is solely responsible for the content of submitted complaints, including text and photographs. By submitting a complaint, the user warrants that: • The information provided is truthful and refers to real problems. • The content does not violate third-party rights, including image rights and intellectual property. • The content does not contain offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or illegal language. • Photographs do not contain personal data of identifiable third parties without their consent. Queixate reserves the right to remove or hide complaints that violate these conditions without prior notice.
All Platform content, including but not limited to design, logos, text, source code and structure, is the property of Queixate or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. By submitting content on the Platform, the user grants Queixate a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating the Platform and forwarding complaints to the competent authorities.
Queixate acts as an intermediary between citizens and local authorities and is not responsible for: • The effective resolution of submitted complaints, which depends solely on the competent municipal entities. • Delays or lack of response from local authorities. • The truthfulness or accuracy of content submitted by users. • Any interruptions, technical errors or temporary unavailability of the Platform. The Platform is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Queixate reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes take effect from the date of publication on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We recommend periodic review of this page.
These Terms of Use are governed by Portuguese law. For the resolution of any dispute arising from the use of the Platform, the court of the district of Póvoa de Varzim shall have jurisdiction, with express waiver of any other.
